Macron crowns "AG.AL" as World E-sports champ
The "AG.AL" team from France won the 2026 Electronic Sports World Cup in Paris, after a dramatic seven-week competition featuring 25 games and a prize pool of $7 million. The victory came in a match that shifted the course of the competition in the final moments, as the Saudi "Falcons" team was leading before a surprising loss in the quarter-finals. The French team claimed its first title outside of Saudi Arabia, in the presence of official attendees including the Saudi Crown Prince and the French President, coinciding with an official visit during which both sides aim to strengthen cooperation in cultural fields and entrepreneurship.
