Riyadh and Paris boost economic ties
During the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to France, several agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries. The agreements included deals valued at approximately $3.7 billion between French oil company Total and the oil and gas sector. Additionally, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in artificial intelligence and digital twin technologies with Dassault Systèmes. The agreements also involved support for the development of Saudi Arabia’s electricity network through funding of up to $3 billion, along with financing memoranda for the Saudi Group's aircraft acquisition from Airbus, thereby enhancing collaboration in the energy, industry, and aviation sectors between Saudi Arabia and France.
