Oman is intensifying its diplomatic efforts regarding the Strait of Hormuz crisis. Today, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi will visit Tehran to hold consultations with Iranian officials on maritime security in the vital passage. The visit aims to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and ensure the continuity of maritime traffic through the strait, which has experienced significant disruptions since the escalation of the US-Israeli war against Iran in February. The visit is also concerned with maintaining peace and security in the region amid rising tensions between Tehran and Washington, following the revelation of a secret US maritime corridor through the strait to ensure global oil flow, with fewer than 20 ships passing through the strait since the beginning of the week.
