Al-Sawaha reports historic 522b SAR in Saudi digital growth
Under Saudi Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia experienced a historic leap in its digital economy, reaching a value of 522 billion riyals after growing by more than 75%, up from less than 300 billion riyals previously. This transformation has shifted the kingdom from an importer of technology to a source of it, with over 410,000 tech-related jobs created compared to 150,000 jobs earlier. Additionally, Saudi Arabia achieved the world's top position in digital readiness and organizational indicators. The country invested approximately 60% of its technology investments in data centers to serve over a billion consumers. Major projects were launched in collaboration with global companies such as Amazon and NVIDIA, as well as Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform, all focused on building technical expertise and developing infrastructure, including expanding fiber optic networks and 5G services.
