Yemen protests alter frontlines
The Yemeni fronts have witnessed a rapid escalation in military activity, including the use of drones as a key tool in the power balance between the national army and the Houthi movement. The armed forces announced the deployment of a new drone unit dedicated to aerial operations for service. Operations targeting Houthi sites and gatherings have been carried out in Ma'rib, Taiz, and Al-Dhalea, resulting in the killing and injury of several Houthi fighters, along with the downing of a Houthi drone in Taiz. Additionally, the Houthis admitted to the deaths of at least two of their officers. Military operations and mutual accusations regarding the causes of the escalation have continued since July, with forces moving towards expanding the use of drone aircraft and unifying military decisions to open new fronts.
