Al-Arfaj Expresses Heartfelt Sentiment for Union Basket
The article discusses the state of basketball in Saudi clubs, particularly Al-Ittihad, and explores the reasons behind the decline in the sport's level and the absence of stars from the past generation who achieved Asian and Arab honors. It explains that the golden generation that made history for the club has left, while decreased interest and support from clubs have led to a drop in the game's standards and the disappearance of notable players, with no clear strategic plans in place to restore balance. The writer emphasizes the importance of building strong teams and providing financial support and sponsorship, so that basketball can become a significant part of Saudi sports, avoiding its cancellation under current circumstances.
