Tehran vows response after US strike
The American strike targeted Iran's Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in the death of two people and injuries to others. Iran responded by targeting American bases in Jordan, warning of a decisive response to any new escalation. Iran reaffirmed its right to lawful self-defense and vowed a strong response to any military attack. Meanwhile, the United States targeted Iranian missile platforms that were preparing to launch attacks on the strait. This escalation heightens tension in the region, especially around the Strait of Hormuz, which is experiencing ongoing tension concerning maritime security.
