Khalid bin Salman: Makkah Alliance boosts security and cooperation
Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan reaffirmed during the Istanbul meeting their commitment to activate the Mecca Defense Agreement, now known as the "Mecca Alliance." This alliance aims to strengthen political and defense cooperation among the three countries by coordinating responses to threats and building a collective defense system as a culmination of the principle of mutual defense. The steps include establishing a Secretariat for the alliance in Saudi Arabia, headed by a Pakistani for a three-year term, as well as advancing defense industries and military cooperation technologies. The goal is to achieve regional stability and security. The agreement marks a historic step in boosting military and strategic cooperation among the three nations, part of efforts to reduce escalation and promote peaceful solutions to conflicts.
