The 26th Pilgrimage Research Forum, hosted by Umm Al-Qura University, welcomed over 1,000 scientific studies focused on improving the quality and outcomes of research related to Hajj and Umrah. Emphasis was placed on implementing smart solutions and artificial intelligence technologies. Major projects were launched, such as controlling transportation movement and initiatives for managing Eid al-Adha and Qurbani (sacrificial animal) procedures, all based on field studies, with the aim of transforming scientific research into practical projects that serve pilgrims more safely and comfortably. The forum also discussed the future of crowd management, the utilization of data and modern technologies to support decision-making before the Hajj season, and efforts to strengthen scientific partnerships and develop technical tools to ensure data accuracy and enhance the pilgrims’ experience.
