Desert Technologies announced the signing of an agreement with the Swiss group "CTS" to establish a joint venture named "CTS-DT" aimed at developing and manufacturing advanced solutions for data centers prepared for artificial intelligence applications in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East and Africa region. The first phase includes setting up a production platform in Saudi Arabia with a capacity of up to 300 megawatts annually, with plans to expand to 1.2 gigawatts. This initiative is designed to support the growth of the data center sector and meet the increasing demand for AI infrastructure and high-performance computing. The project seeks to enhance local content, transfer technology, and develop national capabilities in engineering and manufacturing fields, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 to achieve a digital economy and localize technologies.
