Arab League Condemns East-West Pipeline Attack
The Arab League announced that it condemned the targeting of the East-West pipeline in Saudi Arabia, following drone attacks launched from Iraqi territory that resulted in injuries and material damage in Riyadh and Medina. The League considered this attack a violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability, expressing its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia. The Secretary-General of the League confirmed that targeting oil infrastructure poses a threat to energy security and regional and international stability, and called for respecting the sovereignty of states and good neighborly relations to prevent the recurrence of such attacks. He also praised Saudi Arabia's decision to refrain from retaliating at this time, to give Iraq an opportunity to take measures to stop attacks from its territory, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in maintaining the security of the region.
