Jazan Mosque Attack: Houthi Threats
The Houthi militia listed as a terrorist organization targeted a mosque and civilian buildings in Al-Tawal Governorate in Jazan Region, in an attack that reflects the hostile and extremist approach adopted by the group. It also confirms their violation of the sanctity of holy places and their treatment of them as tools to achieve their political objectives. This attack is part of a broader context involving assaults on religious sites in the area, contradicting Islamic values that prohibit the destruction of mosques during peace and war, and constitutes a war crime under international law. Saudi Arabia emphasizes the need to defend its sovereignty and protect its citizens from such hostile actions, and pledges to take measures to maintain the security and stability of the region.
