Revealer of Confidentials
The article addresses the behavior of some lawyers who disclose their clients' secrets and cases on social media platforms in order to promote themselves, despite the confidentiality and trust inherent to the legal profession. It highlights that practices relying on legal judgments and media results as a means of gaining fame and publicity can lead to the exposure of clients’ identities and put their lives at risk—especially when judgments are posted or celebrated through songs and phrases, almost transforming the case into a media or marketing spectacle. The article emphasizes that a lawyer's success should be measured by their ability to safeguard client secrets and respect confidentiality, rather than by posting judgments or case details. Such actions do not reflect true professional achievement but rather a disregard for ethical standards and societal trust. Alarmingly, some lawyers are involved in illegally marketing judgments by reposting them after removing source information, using these as promotions of their accomplishments. This practice endangers client confidentiality, tarnishes the profession's honor, and reduces it to a marketplace of false achievements. The article confirms that the legal profession is built on trust and confidentiality, and irresponsible disclosure of clients' secrets constitutes a violation of ethics and a betrayal of the profession’s core principles.
