Voter bribery scandal
The article addressed criticisms of U.S. policies, particularly regarding attempts to justify interventions in other countries by defending the spread of democracy, which often led to internal and sectarian wars and the failure of their political projects. It also reviewed the crisis within America itself, where President Trump, during his election campaign, promised to pay every American citizen five thousand dollars if his party maintained the majority in Congress—an amount that could reach one trillion dollars. However, he considered this promise unrealistic and described it as a form of electoral bribery. The article discussed how these promises, often seen as rhetorical, impact America's image abroad—especially amid rising energy prices and their effects on the global economy—alongside concerns about how such promises could affect the integrity of American elections and undermine the country's reputation as a symbol of democracy and justice.
