The activities of the National Center for Plant Pest and Animal Disease Prevention at the Majestic Festival of Camels in Taif focused on safeguarding the health of the participating camels through visual inspections to ensure they are free of diseases, and promoting the implementation of biosecurity practices at camel entry points. Efforts also included regulatory patrols of veterinary facilities and vector control, along with training and awareness campaigns for owners regarding necessary health procedures. Ready teams were established for rapid response in case of injuries during the races, aiming to reduce the risk of disease transmission and ensure the safety of the camels throughout the festival.
