One of the major pharmacy chains in the kingdom faced widespread controversy on social media after publishing an apology statement following an abuse incident by one of its employees. The company issued a statement explaining the apology for the incident, but it was met with strong rejection from legal experts, journalists, and citizens, who criticized the lack of decisiveness and firmness in its response—especially considering a similar incident had occurred previously, when the employee was immediately dismissed. The incident also raised concerns about health safety and public trust in the workforce within the pharmaceutical sector, with advocates emphasizing the need to exclude abusive employees to improve sector efficiency. Stakeholders called for stricter measures to reform the employment system, ensuring such incidents are not repeated and protecting community health.
