Turkish authorities have managed to apprehend fugitive Tural Bar, who was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted in three theft and impersonation cases. He had been on the run from the police for eight years. He managed to hide by completely changing his appearance and claiming to be a woman, using his sister’s identity while moving around Istanbul, relying on her ID card to avoid detection. His escape ended after a security operation in the Kadıköy area, which followed extensive surveillance and investigations targeting his use of his sister’s credit cards outside the country.
