Yemen Army Shifts Control
Yemeni government forces, backed by the coalition, made gains on several fronts as part of the “Dawn of Yemen” operation. The most notable were the capture of the Huwashiyan Mountains and positions east of Al Hazm in Al Jawf, and the seizure of Houthi weapons and ammunition. In Taiz, the forces repelled a Houthi attack on the Kahlan front. Meanwhile, government forces and the Deterrence Forces advanced near Bab al-Mandab to strengthen their control and cut supply lines between Dhubab and Mokha. The forces also launched a counterattack in Al Maqatirah district, north of Lahj, targeting Houthi fortifications and continuing their advance to secure transport routes.
