Saudi Leads Arab Bee Meet
Saudi Arabia made a strong showing at the 16th Conference of the Arab Beekeepers Union, held in Amman from November 1 to 4, 2026, with researchers and beekeepers from Arab countries taking part. The Saudi delegation won first and second place for best liquid honey, and all three top places in the wax honeycomb category, as well as high rankings in honey blends, bee-product innovations, photography, cosmetics, and smart technologies. The conference also announced that Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine had approved treatment using bee products as part of specialized medical care, making the Kingdom the first Arab country to establish a system for regulating and licensing it.
