Yasser Al-Misehal's presidency of the Saudi Football Federation lasted for seven years, during which the local league experienced development and attracted global stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. However, the Saudi national team failed to win any titles during this period, managing only to qualify for the World Cup six times, but most of those campaigns ended in early elimination, with the latest being their exit from the 2026 World Cup after finishing at the bottom of their group.
