The Houston Stadium in the United States is hosting a match between Japan and Brazil in the 2026 World Cup. This encounter holds special symbolic significance, as it pays tribute to the spirit of the dream sparked by the Japanese anime series "Captain Tsubasa" over 40 years ago. The series depicted a match between Japan and Brazil but did not reveal its outcome. This meeting reflects the realization of an entire generation's football dreams, with expectations that the ending the anime began decades ago will finally be written, involving widespread participation from the 80s and 90s generations who saw the game as a manifestation of childhood dreams and their country's football ambitions.
