Lawyers Khaled Abu Rashed and Riyad Al-Zahrani confirmed that Yasser Al-Mishel's announcement of his resignation as president of the Saudi Football Federation via his personal account on the X platform is legally incomplete. It must be followed by an official written resignation submitted to the relevant authority within the federation. They explained that the proper legal procedure requires a written resignation to officially confirm the termination of his membership, and that the phrase "I assume full responsibility" has no legal effect. Additionally, removing him from the position of president terminates his membership in continental and international federations if such memberships are connected to his role in the Saudi Federation.
