Barcelona omits Messi retirement mention
Barcelona's reactions to the announcement of its legendary player Lionel Messi's retirement from international football with Argentina have sparked widespread controversy. The club limited itself to a brief comment on his post before later deleting it. Meanwhile, major clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Napoli, along with American sports accounts, expressed respect and appreciation for Messi's prolific career and global achievements. Although Barcelona spent most of Messi's career with the club and significantly contributed to its successes, they did not publicly acknowledge this after his retirement, prompting widespread criticism regarding their stance toward the Argentine star.
