The appointment of Christian Kelly Gonzalez as the new head coach of Inter Miami aims to steer the team back on track after a decline in results, especially after only one win in the last seven matches despite Lionel Messi's active participation. Gonzalez, who is 52 years old, previously played alongside Diego Maradona and had a significant experience with Messi in the Argentine national team, where their relationship developed positively, especially during difficult moments for Messi, such as his first international match. This appointment presents an opportunity for Gonzalez to provide technical guidance, particularly as he will be coaching Messi, who recently announced his retirement from international football, in Inter Miami's project that heavily relies on his abilities and former stars—coming at a critical time that may impact Messi's future at the club.
