Al-Ittihad's first football team is preparing to face their rival Al-Ahli in the upcoming round of the Roshan Saudi League. Their goal is to secure a victory to improve their results after their recent loss to Al-Nassr, 2-0, at Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah. The team has been struggling to achieve wins at their home ground in recent years, having not managed to beat Al-Nassr at home from 2014 until February 2022. They finally broke this curse with a large 3-0 victory under the coaching of Cosmin Contra. The two teams have previously faced each other at this stadium, with a clear dominance from Al-Nassr. Al-Ittihad hopes to narrow the gap and achieve a win, especially after recent results that have reinforced Al-Nassr's dominance in their encounters.
