Mbappé on Ballon d'Or: I'll vote for myself
Kylian Mbappé expressed confidence in his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or this year, affirming that he will vote for himself and considering it a primary goal in his career. He justified his nomination by discussing the individual nature of the award, pointing out that personal achievements, such as being the top scorer in the World Cup and winning the Golden Boot, enhance his chances despite not achieving major team titles during the season. However, Mbappé faces a challenge due to the absence of significant titles in his season, especially since neither Real Madrid nor France won the World Cup, which could impact his chances of winning the award when compared to the accomplishments of other players.
