Global Press Ronaldo Feels Betrayed
Global media coverage has focused on Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal's national team and Al-Nasr Club, leaving the Portugal squad in Copenhagen following a dispute over coach Jorge Jesus's comments. Ronaldo departed the camp heading to Madrid in protest of the coach's remarks during the pre-match press conference. Efforts were made by both the federation and the coach to contact him and persuade him to stay, but these attempts were unsuccessful. Reports suggest that Ronaldo may play his last match for the national team against Wales, and he could face disciplinary action from the Portuguese Football Federation for his unexplained withdrawal from the camp, in accordance with internal regulations. Ronaldo expressed his displeasure with Jesus's behavior, who had previously promised to apologize for his mistakes but did not fulfill that promise, which further heightened the tension between the two.
