Ronaldo faces suspension and fine after Portugal exit
Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo faces the risk of sanctions from the Portuguese Football Federation after he abruptly left his national team camp, a move that sparked widespread controversy. According to the disciplinary regulations, he could be suspended for a period ranging from one to six months, in addition to a fine between 500 and 1,000 euros, if his absence is considered a punishable violation. This situation arose following a disagreement with coach Jorge Jesus, who expressed a preference for certain players, which upset Ronaldo. As a result, he decided to leave the camp and traveled to Spain on his private plane. The incident has raised questions about Ronaldo's international future, after spending 23 years with the Portuguese national team, during which he scored 146 goals in 234 matches and led the team to victory in Euro 2016 and the UEFA Nations League.
