Luis Suárez style bite ends 2026 Asian Games match
Chinese judo athlete Tang Jing was disqualified from the Asian Games competition in Nagoya after a biting incident on the arm of her Japanese opponent, Rena Maeda, during the quarter-final match in the under-70-kilogram weight category. The bite left a mark on Maeda's arm, prompting the referee to stop the match and restart the bout. The incident led to disciplinary action, and both athletes began to smile after the decision. Japan's coach confirmed that the mark was clearly visible and nearly caused bleeding. Following the incident, Maeda went on to win the gold medal, while Tang did not make any statements after her disqualification.
