Dubai Sports partners with police on rehab program
The Dubai Sports Council, in cooperation with Dubai Police, has launched the "Sports Events Organization and Management" course for male and female inmates as part of the sports rehabilitation program within correctional facilities. The aim is to develop their professional skills in the sports field and enhance their chances of rejoining the workforce. A total of 94 inmates participated in the course. This initiative is part of the program's efforts to rehabilitate released individuals by promoting sports culture, increasing their skills, and reducing recidivism rates. The program plans to expand these courses in the future and develop partnerships with sports organizations to ensure sustainable rehabilitation and strengthen the role of sports in social reintegration.
