Egyptian FA decides Hossam Hassan's future
The Egyptian Football Association has affirmed its support for the national team management, led by Hossam Hassan, following the controversy surrounding the possibility of his dismissal due to events during the South Sudan trip. The association's Vice President, Khaled Al-Darndlī, dismissed the rumors, clarifying that the coaching staff will not be dismissed if they submit an official report, and that decisions are made by the Management Board headed by Hany Abou-Rida to maintain the team's stability. He also emphasized that the federation has not encountered any direct disagreements with the coaching staff, and that he has attended all training sessions. He justified that the report from the team’s captain is a standard procedure, and that the final decision rests with the council. The Egyptian national team recently defeated South Sudan with a score of 5-0 in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
