Gulf Cup 27 Best Award Named After Emir of Mecca
The Gulf Football Federation named the Best Player Award at the Gulf 25 Championship after Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, in tribute to his contributions to the development of Gulf sports and his connection to the history of the Arabian Gulf Cup since its inception. This was announced before the final match between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, with the winner to be revealed after the game during the award ceremony, where a housing unit from the tournament's official sponsor will be presented to the outstanding player. This initiative is a recognition of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal's role in organizing and developing the Gulf Cup since 1968, which has become one of the most prominent Gulf sporting events for over fifty years.
