Higher Council backs Real Madrid against Tebas
It was stated that the Spanish Higher Sports Council condemns the comments made by Javier Tebas, President of La Liga, in which he compared the media methods of Real Madrid's channel to Goebbels, the Nazi propaganda minister. Uribes, the head of the council, called on Tebas to apologize to Real Madrid, considering that his remarks went beyond legitimate criticism and exceeded responsible discourse, especially given his position as a high-ranking official. He emphasized that discussing Nazism and Goebbels is unacceptable when debating a sports club, and that such statements damage the image of Spanish football. Additionally, legal considerations regarding these comments are currently being reviewed to determine potential disciplinary measures. In contrast, Tebas defended his stance and criticized Real Madrid's channel for selecting content that promotes the club's viewpoints and highlights their sense of being wronged.
