UAE Village Races Promote Community Engagement
As part of the UAE Villages Running Series 2026 organized by the UAE Council for Balanced Development and sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Diyaab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the second round was held in Al H dubb area of Dubai with the participation of over 1,000 runners, including both nationals and residents. The event aims to promote physical activity, explore the heritage and natural sites across the UAE villages, and boost domestic tourism. The current edition has seen a notable increase in the number of participants compared to the first version, especially in desert areas and sand dunes. The series continues with races across seven regions nationwide, featuring activities to encourage community engagement and health awareness, concluding in Abu Dhabi on December 5th.
