Courtois Explains Belgium Team Omission
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois revealed that he was excluded from Belgium's WhatsApp group, used for sharing information among players, reflecting tension in his relationship with the national team. Nevertheless, he confirmed that he remains in contact with some of his teammates and hopes to return to represent his country under coach Mark van Bommel. Courtois explained that he considered retiring after the 2026 World Cup but decided to continue due to the positive atmosphere he experienced with the national team and the international break coinciding with his father's wedding, with the possibility of returning in November still open. It is worth noting that he is under contract with Real Madrid until 2027 and aims to stay with the club, while negotiations for an extension are ongoing.
