Unionists face internal divisions with Wijnaldum involved
The training session of Al-Ittihad Saudi team, led by German coach Jens Venning, saw an exceptional presence of Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, who trained with the non-starting group after participating in the match against Al-Ettifaq, which the team won 4-1. The aim was to improve his physical fitness levels. The coach divided the players into two groups, and Wijnaldum was able to join the second group for the physical training sessions, as part of the effort to enhance his fitness before upcoming matches. Wijnaldum, who will turn 36 next month, is among the players focused on maintaining their physical condition. The team is preparing to face Diriyah in the 11th round of the Roshen Saudi League, after recently regaining their balance and securing a victory.
