Mothet Al-Hawifi: Goal Should Have Been Confirmed
The goal scored by Al-Ahly against El Qanah was valid from a refereeing standpoint, according to Modhith Al-Houfi, the refereeing expert, who confirmed that the assistant referee erred by not moving to the center of the field to validate the goal, which led to confusion in the decision. He pointed out that the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) should have clearly confirmed the goal for a final ruling, especially given the pressure referees face due to the negative results of clubs like Al-Ahly and Zamalek.
