Tenerife Death Probe

Tenerife player Jesús de Miguel died early Tuesday after a violent collision with Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono in a Spanish second-division match that ended 2–2 on Monday. New footage showed Owono appearing tense before the challenge, while police investigate whether it may have caused an accidental death. Investigators are also reviewing the medical response, including whether the player received oxygen and whether a defibrillator was used, as well as why he remained on the pitch for more than six minutes before being taken to the ambulance.
