The 20-year-old Moroccan forward Ayoub Oufkir has chosen to represent Morocco, informing the Dutch Football Association of his decision after receiving his first call-up to the Atlas Lions. As a result, he will miss out on the Netherlands under-21 team. Coach Mohamed Ouahbi included him in the squad for two matches against Niger in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, on November 13 in Casablanca and November 17 in Rabat. Morocco lead Group A with six points from two wins.
