Moroccan league champions Maghreb Fès have parted ways with Portuguese coach Rui Almeida by mutual consent, thanking him for his efforts. The decision came after the team opened its title defence with two wins but then went four consecutive matches without a victory, dropping to seventh place on eight points, five behind the leaders. The team has qualified for the CAF Champions League group stage for the first time and was drawn in Group D alongside Pyramids, Sudan’s Al Hilal and Horoya Conakry.
