Faisal Al Ketbi said the UAE national team’s athletes are ready to compete for gold at the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which begins on Monday. Preparations started at the beginning of the year, with athletes competing in Grand Slam events and earning qualifying points. He expects fierce competition and named Omar Al Suwaidi, Khalid Al Shehhi, Saeed Al Qubaisi, Rashid Al Shehhi, Dhiab Al Nuaimi and Abdullah Al Qubaisi among the leading athletes. He noted that the championship has grown from around 200 to 300 athletes in its early years to more than 10,000 men and women representing over 150 countries in this year’s edition.
