Media reports have confirmed that Enzo Maresca has signed a three-year contract with Manchester City to become the new head coach of the team until June 2029, succeeding Pep Guardiola who left at the end of the previous season. He previously served as Guardiola's assistant during the 2022-2023 season and contributed to the historic treble victory. Maresca also worked in the club's youth academy during the 2020-2021 season. He will have a full role in determining the team's transfer strategies.
