Chelsea's Joao Pedro surprises Barcelona
Media reports have confirmed that Chelsea are determined to retain striker Joao Pedro, which is hindering Barcelona's attempt to sign him this summer. Although the player is open to transferring to Barcelona, the Chelsea management considers him a key part of their future plans, especially with a new era beginning under the leadership of Chabi Alonso. Joao Pedro joined Chelsea last summer for €63.7 million and is contracted with them until 2033. This season, he scored 20 goals in 48 matches.
