The International Automobile Federation will review next Thursday the request from the Alpine team, owned by Renault, to reconsider the decision to strip driver Pierre Gasly of his podium finish at the Monaco Grand Prix in Formula 1. Gasly had dropped from third to seventh place after receiving two time penalties for exceeding the speed limit inside the pit lane, having gone slightly over the allowed speed, which resulted in him being deprived of a spot on the podium. The officials issued penalties to the violating drivers, and Gasly expressed his disappointment, believing he was driving within the maximum permitted speed. The session will examine potential evidence of new elements that could influence the decision.
