Youri Cazar, player for Shabab Al Ahli and the UAE national team, expects the 2026 World Cup to be one of the most exciting and competitive editions, with 48 teams participating for the first time. This increase will heighten the chances of surprises and intensify competition among major and emerging teams. He clarified that the tournament will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026, and that the expanded number of teams will open the door for more countries to participate and for greater diversity in the competition. Cazar expressed his hope to qualify for the 2030 World Cup, acknowledging the efforts made by the UAE team in the qualifiers, and predicted that Brazil will perform notably after a period without winning honors.
