Syria and Saudi Arabia signed four agreements and memoranda of understanding in the fields of transportation, logistics services, civil aviation, and postal services, with the aim of strengthening cooperation, developing transportation infrastructure, and supporting trade exchange between the two countries. The understandings included exchanging technical and professional expertise, improving safety and digitization, localizing industries related to transportation, as well as developing a modern and sustainable transportation system. The signing follows a meeting between the interim President, Ahmed al-Shiré, and Saudi Transport Minister, Saleh Nasser Al-Jasser, after the signing of cooperation memoranda in the railway and road sectors.
