Turkey has experienced an increase in relocating manufacturing companies to Syria, especially in the textiles and ready-made clothing sector, aimed at reducing labor and operational costs and benefiting from the proximity of the Syrian market. During the first half of 2026, 247 Turkish companies submitted requests to establish factories or invest in Syria, with LC Waikiki beginning production at a factory in Aleppo that currently provides around 150 jobs, with plans to increase employment to over a thousand within the next three years. Additionally, Syria received approximately 234 investment proposals in the sector during that period, aimed at updating and expanding factories, as part of its efforts to restore industrial facilities and attract foreign investments.
