According to the incident report, German police were highly mobilized after passengers on a train in Bavaria reported a young man carrying a knife. It was later revealed that he was an 18-year-old Sudanese national who was carrying three kitchen knives, each with a blade approximately 10 centimeters long. When police arrived at the train at Puchloh station, the knives were recovered without resistance, and the young man showed no intention of attacking, as no threats or injuries were recorded. Nonetheless, the police launched an investigation because carrying knives is a violation of German law—specifically Article 42b—which prohibits the possession of knives on long-distance public transportation, though there are exceptions. The young man was not arrested and continued his journey, while the police are handling the case.
