The figures released by the German government reveal that the costs of mass deportation operations during the first half of 2026 are significantly high. For example, renting a plane to deport 33 people to Pakistan cost approximately 518,000 euros, with 75 police officers participating and support from the European Border Agency "Frontex" for the flight. The costs of the two deportation flights to Afghanistan also exceeded 300,000 euros each, without Frontex funding. Meanwhile, supported flights to Nigeria and other West African countries cost around 400,000 euros per trip. Additionally, security and guard expenses amounted to about 5.93 million euros in the first six months of 2026. During this period, Germany carried out 9,663 deportation operations, raising discussions about the costs of these operations and the high expenses associated with demands to tighten deportation policies.
