On Thursday evening, an ICE train experienced a sudden malfunction on the Hanover-Tsette line due to a fire alarm system failure in the electricity distribution area. This caused the train to stop and necessitated the call-out of firefighting teams consisting of around 130 personnel. It was clarified that the system registered a fault without an actual fire, but it still delayed the train for over three hours in the interest of safety. After safety procedures and thermal camera inspections, the team was allowed to carefully move the train until it reached Tsette station, where passengers had to transfer to alternative trains. No injuries were reported among the passengers.
